As a general guide: men under 150 lbs and 5'8" usually wear S or M. 150–185 lbs wear M or L. 185–220 lbs wear L or XL. For accuracy, measure your chest and use a size chart.

Neck size is the circumference of your neck measured at the collar, usually in inches. A 15" neck is typically a men's medium shirt. Measure at the base of your neck where the collar sits.
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, under your armpits and across your shoulder blades. Keep the tape level and add 1–2 inches for comfort. Use this measurement to find your shirt size in the chart.
